Advanced Technology Development

The role develops advanced information and communications technologies and prototypes systems that apply those technologies. Areas include AI and machine learning, image processing, three-dimensional measurement and recognition, VR and AR, and advanced video and audio compression coding using technologies such as FVC, HEVC, and AAC. The position also covers advanced technologies in wireless communications and cryptography.

The successful candidate must have experience and knowledge matching the stated duties, be able to research, evaluate, consider, and devise algorithms, and be able to develop software. An advanced information-processing qualification is listed as a preferred qualification.

The position is based in Tokyo. The work location may be changed to a place designated by the company, including a location used for telework. Employment is permanent with no fixed contract period, although individual terms may be presented depending on experience. The probationary period is six months, with the same salary during probation.

Standard working hours are 8:40 to 17:10, with 7 hours and 30 minutes of scheduled work and a 60-minute break. Flextime may apply depending on the assigned department. Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and specified year-end and New Year holidays are days off. The posting states that paid leave is 21 days per year, with first-year entitlement depending on the hiring month, along with other special leave. Overtime and holiday work may be required.

Salary is determined according to company rules based on ability and suitability. Commuting expenses are fully covered under company rules, and lunch-cost assistance and other allowances may be provided.
