AI Platform Engineer

This role sits in the Global Engineering department and focuses on the platform layer of Tailor Platform, an AI-native headless ERP platform, as well as the BFF layer for individual applications. The work contributes to a development foundation intended to shorten the time needed to build enterprise business systems while making complex business processes usable by both people and AI agents.

The engineer will design an AI-specific execution model above the Core Platform runtime and middleware, create abstraction layers for connecting LLMs with external tools through Skills and Tooling, and design agent execution, state management, and orchestration. The named technology environment includes TypeScript, Go, Rust, React, gRPC with Protocol Buffers, Connect RPC, GraphQL, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, AlloyDB, Cloud SQL, Memorystore for Redis, and Datadog. Candidates must have experience designing and developing AI agents, experience designing and implementing tools or Skills called by LLMs, and substantial development experience with TypeScript or a comparable language.
