Backend Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

The position covers backend engineering and cloud-infrastructure development for a newly created cloud rececon business serving pharmacies. It involves building a cloud-native application and platform from the ground up, rather than maintaining or moving an existing legacy system. The engineer will work across application and infrastructure boundaries, from AWS environment and architecture design through backend implementation.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing an AWS managed-service, container, and serverless environment; building the backend for the cloud rececon; and designing PostgreSQL connectivity, MQ-based processing, and load distribution. The role also includes creating APIs, batch jobs, and data-integration infrastructure with Python and TypeScript. Terraform is used to codify infrastructure, and ECS is used in the container environment. CI/CD pipelines are also included in the end-to-end platform work.
