Corporate Engineer

This role leads company-wide corporate IT and information security initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating, introducing, and operating IT tools to improve work efficiency; designing and maintaining an internal network that supports remote work; improving business processes involving tools used by corporate and sales teams; maintaining the internal identity platform; and obtaining and maintaining certifications from third-party information-security organizations. The role also provides other support that helps employees work productively.

Corporate IT had previously been handled alongside software engineering duties. As the company and its user base grow, the need for dedicated IT and security expertise has increased. The role works across the organization and engages closely with management, business departments, corporate functions, and sales members. The company operates in the commercial real-estate data domain, including offices, station buildings, and shopping centers.

Required qualifications include practical experience as a corporate engineer; experience operating unified identity management with an identity provider such as Okta or Entra ID; experience introducing MDM or xDR to establish security governance for remote work; experience automating work with no-code tools or programming; and basic knowledge of information security.

Preferred qualifications include professional software-engineering experience, project-management ability, experience launching a corporate IT or information-systems department, network design and operations experience, knowledge of or experience with IT controls, and Salesforce administration experience. The posting also seeks someone who can design corporate engineering around business advancement, coordinate and make constructive proposals among departments with different interests, work with humility, respect, and trust, and pursue continuous improvement.

This is a full-time permanent position with a three-month probationary period and no change in treatment during probation. Annual compensation is JPY 6,000,000–10,000,000. Salary increases and performance incentives are provided twice a year. Fixed overtime pay for 40 hours per month is included, with additional overtime paid beyond the deemed amount. The work location is the head office in Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, with other company-designated locations possible. Annual holidays total 125 days, with three days of summer leave, three days of Welcome leave usable during probation, and year-end and New Year holidays.
