Cybersecurity Project Manager

This full-time position supports cybersecurity proposals and projects for public-sector customers in the national security field, primarily involving the Ministry of Defense and other government organizations. The surrounding department proposes and develops SOC systems, cyber-exercise platforms for training cybersecurity personnel, and cyber-intelligence-related services.

The successful candidate handles one of these business areas across proposal development, system design, development, operation and maintenance, or technical development. Project-management duties include progress management, risk management, issue management and overall delivery control. The role also includes cross-functional project management, coordination of vendor collaboration platforms, strategic agreement-building with internal and external stakeholders, and management of cybersecurity solution development using advanced industry technologies.

Required experience for the 主任 to 課長-level track includes project-management or project-leadership experience, including management of at least eight members or partner-company personnel, and experience with upstream system design such as requirements definition, system architecture and configuration design.

Preferred qualifications include an IPA Level 4-equivalent certification, such as the Systems Architect, Network Specialist, Database Specialist or Registered Information Security Specialist examinations. Security certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CISA or CISM, and project-management certifications such as PMP or PMS, are also desirable. Experience staffing or organizing internal or external study sessions is welcomed. The stated soft skills include customer negotiation, the ability to lead and coordinate members, and having a clear motivation such as desired work, compensation or growth.

The position works with multiple group companies and domestic and overseas security and IT vendors on national-security cybersecurity business. It is expected to be a regular employee position at the 主任 to 課長 level. Estimated annual compensation is approximately JPY 6.8 million to JPY 9.9 million for 主任 and JPY 9.3 million to JPY 11.0 million for 課長. Monthly pay is approximately JPY 450,000 to JPY 700,000 for 主任, including a basic monthly salary of approximately JPY 350,000 to JPY 600,000, and JPY 550,000 to JPY 750,000 for 課長, including the stated basic salary range. The work location is the Daini Tamachi Building in Minato, Tokyo. The stated scope of location changes is the company's designated locations, including locations where telework is performed when applicable.
