Duties include designing data platforms and pipelines across AWS and GCP with secure permissions and data transfer, writing maintainable Python pipelines (DAGs) in workflow tools such as Airflow, data modelling and system design from business analysis needs, managing metadata with a data catalog and automating data-quality checks, handling the security demands of a financial institution, failure monitoring and dependency clean-up, and optimising performance by scaling managed tools and removing bottlenecks.
