Data Scientist / AI Engineer / AI Consultant

This full-time graduate role develops machine-learning models in AI projects and helps solve clients’ business challenges. Responsibilities include planning approaches, conducting detailed interviews, understanding the overall project, acquiring data, developing models, consulting on the introduction of deep learning and machine learning, developing the company’s AI services, and supporting AI talent development through instruction and teaching-material creation.

Projects may involve image, natural-language, time-series, and tabular data, with tasks such as classification, regression, recommendation, segmentation, and generative AI. The role participates in both downstream engineering and upstream planning and requirements interviews. Future career options include AI consultant, project manager, and engineering manager.

The development environment includes Python, Rust, PyTorch, scikit-learn, OpenAI API, Anthropic API, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, FastAPI, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, SQLAlchemy, and Pinecone. The environment may change according to client requirements and technology trends.

Applicants must be scheduled to graduate from a university or graduate school in or after March 2027. Applicants need a strong interest in using AI and data technologies to solve business problems, the ability to elicit and structure others’ challenges, continuous learning about current AI technology trends, and business-level Japanese equivalent to JLPT N1 or higher. Experience implementing machine learning or deep learning, internships in consulting, sales, or planning, logical document or presentation preparation, and practical or research use of LLMs or generative AI are welcomed.

The position is based at the Nihonbashi Bakurocho office in Tokyo. Remote work is possible by application, although employees are generally expected to work from the office.
