AI Strategy Consultant Manager

The AI Strategy Consultant Manager supports major enterprise clients in using AI, data and digital technologies to drive management and business transformation. Responsibilities include AI, data and digital strategy support for data-driven management, governance development, management dashboard construction, and project promotion.

The role conducts presales activities and delivers projects by proposing AI- and data-based solutions to management challenges. It also handles client communication for delivery projects, supports project managers, proposes continuation of projects, and conducts sales activities. Account responsibilities include preparing and executing account plans, identifying and extracting management and business issues, preparing proposals, presenting, negotiating and closing. The consultant collaborates with expert teams including data scientists and AI development engineers. Duties are adjusted based on experience and career preferences.

Required qualifications include at least three years of project delivery experience at a strategy or general consulting firm, or at least three years of B2B solution sales and account management experience for large enterprises. Preferred experience includes promotion at a strategy or general consulting firm, sales of intangible products to large enterprises, delivery of AI, DX, data-utilization or other digital projects, and identifying, proposing, negotiating and closing management or business issues with executives or business-unit heads at large enterprises. High business communication skills in facilitation, presentation and negotiation, experience in venture-company solution sales for large enterprises, and strong interest in current AI and digital technologies with a willingness to continue learning are also welcomed.

The role is part of an AI solutions business covering DX and AI talent-development products, DX and AI consulting services, AI product development, and AI strategy support. Work involves collaboration with consultants, data scientists, engineers and project managers to support leading Japanese companies.

This is a full-time permanent position with a six-month probationary period and no change to pay or treatment during probation. Annual compensation is determined based on experience, ability and previous salary and includes an assumed 30 hours per month of fixed overtime; salary revision takes place twice yearly. Working arrangements use a super-flex system from 5:00 to 22:00 with no core hours, eight prescribed hours per day, or may use a discretionary work system or management-supervisory classification.
