Engineering Manager

This role manages the equipment-maintenance engineering team for tebiki現場分析, a SaaS product for manufacturing workplaces. The product digitizes paper-based field forms and supports recording, approval, and analysis. The team is expanding the product's field-analysis capabilities and developing new equipment-maintenance functions.

The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that the team delivers valuable features to customers. The role includes defining the staffing needs of the team and driving recruitment, establishing onboarding and development processes, and designing growth opportunities through goal setting, performance evaluation, one-on-ones, feedback, and career support. The manager also organizes standards and working conditions that enable members to make technical decisions independently.

The position translates product strategy into technical strategy and execution plans. It also leads the design of team responsibilities, priorities, and delegation. Development-process responsibilities include identifying and removing bottlenecks, improving the environment for implementation decisions, and building a delivery structure that does not depend on individual effort. The role requires articulating technical constraints and trade-offs and facilitating decisions with product managers and designers.

The manager works closely with product managers, designers, business staff, and company leadership when turning product strategy into execution. The position is expected to contribute beyond the assigned team by influencing adjacent teams and the wider engineering organization.
