Engineering Manager

This engineering manager leads the development organization for Kanmu’s B2B “Sakutto Funding” product. The role connects business, technology, and team issues, and extends product knowledge to shared identity, screening, and operations platforms across multiple B2B products.

The manager aligns roadmaps and priorities with business leaders and product managers; balances feature development with operational improvement, quality assurance, and technical-debt reduction; and designs roles, decision boundaries, and development processes. The team works from requirements clarification through design, implementation, release, and operational improvement, with the manager joining technical or project decisions when needed.

Applicants need professional web-application or back-end development experience, with current involvement in design, implementation, and technical decisions. They must have taken ambiguous requests through problem structuring, requirements definition, design, and implementation, and owned outcomes for a multi-person team or project through role design, prioritization, delegation, development, or quality improvement.
