Corporate IT / Internal IT Specialist

About this role

MerryBiz is strengthening its corporate IT function as its business and organization expand. The role contributes to a planned two-person setup and helps move the function beyond ongoing operations toward standardized rules, an operating foundation, and IPO-preparation work. The position is directly under executives and covers both core operations and the creation of new systems and processes.

The company operates a back-office-focused business platform, Virtual Accounting Assistant, and a DX consulting business. The corporate IT function supports the wider organization across these activities and works with other business areas rather than operating as an isolated internal IT unit.

Responsibilities are assigned according to the candidate’s experience and interests. SaaS administration includes issuing accounts, managing permissions, reviewing account inventories, and building automated and more efficient account-management processes using APIs. Internal infrastructure responsibilities include managing PCs, networks, and devices, setting up IT environments during office relocations, and optimizing the environment used for remote work.

Security work includes establishing information-security policies and operating rules, as well as designing practical controls that balance usability and safety. The role also handles internal inquiries through help desk and IT support, maintains FAQs, and develops a self-service support structure using AI. Additional responsibilities include drafting internal IT rules and guidelines, standardizing operating workflows, and advancing process formalization.

Collaboration with business-side teams may include joining sales meetings when needed, providing IT-focused support, coordinating with departments, and organizing requirements. The role participates in tool and system selection from evaluating the reasons for a choice through implementation, with input from the field considered during the process.

The position is part of the CP team supporting the whole corporate organization. Team members share ideas regardless of title or tenure, and proposals may be adopted. The team values discussion about how to apply lessons from failures, respects the process and background behind decisions, and focuses on whether work helps people and creates organizational value. The work location is the Shibuya office in Tokyo.
