This role develops the frontend of Musubi, an in-house service used for core pharmacy operations such as medication guidance and medication history documentation. Responsibilities include frontend development, implementation of new functions, and ongoing code-quality improvements.
Musubi has been in release for more than five years. Its feature and screen count has grown as the service has been expanded in response to the varied needs of pharmacists. Alongside new feature development, the role includes refactoring, establishing a shared UI component foundation, and upgrading library versions. The product has an established user base, allowing the effects of released features to be observed in pharmacy workplaces.
The developer joins the Musubi development team and works in a Scrum process with product owners, a Scrum master, designers, and other functions. After gaining domain knowledge, the developer is welcomed to propose improvements not only to implementation but also to the product and the way the team operates.
The named development environment is TypeScript with Electron and Angular. Infrastructure uses AWS services including DynamoDB, Aurora, Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, OpenSearch Service, and SQS. Infrastructure as code uses AWS CDK and Terraform. Monitoring tools include Datadog, PagerDuty, and Sentry. CI/CD uses GitHub Actions.
