It determines response policies for technical issues in cooperation with the Engineering Manager. Additional responsibilities include planning alliance strategies, designing synergies, leading negotiations, and creating proof-of-concept initiatives and early examples with specific customers, government bodies and educational institutions.

Direct management responsibilities vary by product and generally cover PMM, PdM and Designer roles. In addition to improving member performance through management, the product leader is expected to take hands-on leadership in situations with significant business impact and help establish the direction for the team. The role involves broad internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration.
