Game Client Engineer (Release Engineering Lead)

This role combines game client development with release engineering. It implements game runtime code and game functionality according to project needs and suitability, and builds the client-side boundaries and foundational components used to load deployed assets and master data.

The client development work also includes integrating and updating SDKs and libraries, implementing debugging features needed by QA and development teams, and creating editor scripts such as Unity scripts.

A second major responsibility is designing, proposing, and introducing the overall development workflow, with particular focus on how applications should be delivered through the release pipeline. The role addresses organizational dependency and single points of failure to help establish a sustainable and robust development structure.

Responsibilities include building, maintaining, and operating client and asset build and deployment pipelines, including pipelines using GitHub Actions. The role also develops and operates CI/CD workflows such as automated testing and automatic asset generation. Support tools for improving development efficiency are developed and maintained using C#, Python, Go, and GAS.

Release operations include preparing builds for development, QA, and production environments, managing the deployment of assets and master data, receiving and investigating incidents as the initial point of contact, planning schedules and coordinating progress during outages, and improving workflows and game implementation based on problems that occur.

The stated work locations are the Shibuya office in Tokyo, the Yokohama Arai Building office, or the Yokohama BASEGATE office, with remote work from home or another company-approved equivalent location. The scope may change to company-designated workplaces, including remote-work locations. The offices are described as smoke-free indoors, with designated indoor smoking areas.
