New Graduate Data Scientist / AI Engineer / AI Consultant

This full-time permanent position works on AI projects that address clients’ business challenges. The role involves identifying solution approaches centered on machine learning, conducting interviews to understand requirements, acquiring and preparing data, and developing machine-learning and deep-learning models. It also includes consulting on the adoption of deep learning and machine learning, developing the company’s own AI services, and supporting AI talent development through instruction and teaching-material creation.

Projects may involve image, natural-language, time-series, or tabular data, with tasks such as classification, regression, recommendation, segmentation, and generative applications. The position covers both downstream engineering and upstream activities such as planning, client interviews, and understanding the overall project context. Project teams include consultants, data scientists, engineers, and project managers. Applicants must be scheduled to graduate from a university or graduate school from March 2027 onward. No specific academic field is required. Required qualifications include a strong interest in solving business problems with AI and data technologies, the ability to draw out and structure another person’s challenges, the ability to follow current AI technology trends and continue learning, and business-level Japanese equivalent to JLPT N1 or above. Preferred experience includes implementing machine-learning or deep-learning systems, internships in consulting, sales, or planning, logical document or presentation-material creation, and using LLMs or generative AI in work or research.

The annual salary range is JPY 3.6 million to JPY 6.6 million and is determined based on experience, ability, and previous salary. The salary includes 30 hours of deemed overtime, and pay is reviewed twice a year. The workplace is in Nihombashi Bakurocho, Tokyo. Working hours use a super-flextime system from 5:00 to 22:00 with no core time, based on eight hours per day. The posting states that remote work is possible, although employees are generally expected to work from the office and may work flexibly by application. Holidays include Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, five days of year-end and New Year leave, three days of summer leave, and other company-designated days. Paid leave begins at 10 days after six months of continuous employment and is increased annually according to the designated schedule.
