About this role

This Product Manager role supports AI-based compliance products by connecting customer, business, and development needs. The work covers the product lifecycle from identifying customer and business problems through requirements definition, project delivery, release, and post-release improvement.

Responsibilities include conducting user interviews and turning findings into concrete insights; researching competitors, markets, and laws; and collecting and organizing feedback from sales and customer success. The role plans and prioritizes features based on customer problems, market needs, and business strategy. It also prepares requirements and specification documents, organizes and documents existing feature specifications, and responds to review and decision requests from designers and engineers.

The Product Manager coordinates business goals and deadlines with development capacity to decide what to build and what to defer. The role creates release roadmaps and milestones based on business events, identifies dependencies and bottlenecks before development begins, and assesses and communicates business impact when incidents occur. Product improvement work includes KPI design and monitoring, planning and evaluating improvement initiatives, and improving development processes. Ticket breakdown, effort estimation, daily progress management within a sprint, and identifying and recovering from the technical causes of incidents are outside the scope of this position.

The product area combines compliance and AI to help prevent business misconduct before it occurs. The team consists of two AI engineers, two application development engineers, one QA engineer, one Product Manager, two product designers, and one design engineer, including contract staff.

Claude Code, Cursor, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot are available as standard internal tools for all employees. Other AI tools may also be considered when requested. The position is based in Minato, Tokyo, with remote work available. Because in-person meetings are held, the posting generally targets people living in Tokyo and the surrounding prefectures or people able to relocate. The selection process includes document screening, two or three online interviews, reference interviews with two former colleagues, and a final interview at the head office.
