Robotics Engineer Intern

The AI Robot Association (AIRoA) offers an internship for a robotics engineering student on the systems behind its humanoid robot data collection and Vision-Language-Action model effort.

The intern contributes to the design and implementation of scalable data collection systems across fleets of humanoid and mobile robots, develops and evaluates low-latency teleoperation and control systems deployed on physical robots, and builds and improves automated pipelines for deploying and evaluating machine learning models in simulation and in the real world.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or PhD program in robotics, mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science or a related field. They need strong hands-on robotics experience from research labs, competitions or advanced coursework, experience controlling physical or complex simulated robots with ROS or ROS 2, a solid grounding in control systems, strong C++ or Python skills, and the ability to implement and debug non-trivial systems independently. Humanoid, teleoperation and simulator experience are preferred.
