Security Officer

Money Forward is hiring a Security Officer to head security for the new company it is establishing with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to launch a digital bank. The officer uses coding and infrastructure knowledge and works with developers and IT staff, together with a team of security specialists.

The scope covers product security (cloud guardrails, in-house consulting, vulnerability assessment and penetration tests, and frameworks such as NIST CSF and CIS Controls), corporate security (designing and running internal systems and operating tools such as EDR, CASB and MDM), and security governance, including in-house consulting on data protection and third-party certifications such as SOC and ISMS. The officer sets the cybersecurity strategy of the new company.

Applicants need a basic understanding of networks, operating systems, data structures and cryptography, development experience or secure-by-design practice, in-house security consulting experience and experience coordinating with executives, plus cloud security or DevSecOps experience. Business-level Japanese (JLPT N1 or above) and English around TOEIC 700 are required.
