Tailor builds an AI-native, headless ERP platform and runs a professional-services arm on top of it. This Senior Bilingual Software Engineer reports to the CTO and bridges the Forward-Deployed teams in the United States and the Platform Core Engineering team in Japan.
The engineer is the main interface between the two groups: gathering field priorities, urgency and constraints, translating intent and decision rationale in both directions, and feeding field needs into the platform roadmap. The role also drives cross-region programs (milestones, success criteria, dependencies, risks), sets planning and review rhythms across time zones, and facilitates technical discussions and design reviews. The stack includes TypeScript, Go, Terraform, Docker and Next.js.
Applicants need native-level Japanese and English, seven or more years as a software engineer, deep knowledge of system design and modern architecture (APIs, backends, data models), experience holding technical discussions in English, and experience on distributed multinational teams. ERP or supply-chain knowledge and Go or Rust experience are preferred. Business-level Japanese and English are both required.
