Tech Lead

This Tech Lead will lead architecture and technical development for a package product in the digital solutions business. The product is intended for deployment to multiple customers and supports projects in Japan’s electric-power industry. Responsibilities include architecture design, technical design and implementation based on business and operational requirements, clarifying issues and specifications when requirements are incomplete, technology selection for future features and customer expansion, and design policies for maintainability, extensibility, and reliability. The role also conducts design and code reviews, establishes technical standards and development processes, makes technical decisions for the team, and manages people.

Required qualifications include experience designing and developing Web or SaaS products, at least three years of C# development, a record of leading architecture design, and practical experience with technology selection, design policies, and quality assurance through code and design reviews. Experience leading an engineering team, advancing development in uncertain conditions, and making technical decisions is required. Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or B2B package products, cloud design, DevOps or CI/CD setup, and development or people management in a startup environment is welcome.

The backend uses C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, REST APIs with FastEndpoints and MediatR, and xUnit. The frontend uses TypeScript, React with Carbon React, Vite, Vitest, and React Testing Library. Infrastructure includes Microsoft Azure and Azure SQL Database. GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps with Azure Boards are used for source management, project management, and CI/CD. The listed development tools are Visual Studio 2026 and JetBrains ReSharper, with Microsoft Teams used for communication. Engineers, including contractors, receive Claude Code Max 5x at company expense, with Claude Code Max 20x and OpenAI Codex Pro also available at company expense as needed. The team uses coding agents consistently and is working on measuring and visualizing productivity metrics from AI adoption.

The position belongs to the Technology Division, consisting of one CTO, two Tech Leads, and six members. The product supports work in the energy sector involving regulation, finance, and real assets, including projects for major electric-power companies and general contractors. The company was founded as a startup in November 2024 and has an organization of more than ten people. Collaboration with engineers in Japan and overseas is part of the development context.

This is a full-time regular employee position with a three-month probationary period. The annual salary is 8,000,000 to 15,000,000 JPY, determined according to experience and skills. Working hours use a flextime system with no core hours and eight standard hours per day, with a one-hour break; start and end times can be set freely. Remote work is available. The workplace is in Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

Holidays include weekends, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and other company-designated days. Paid leave, maternity and postnatal leave, childcare leave, and nursing-care leave are provided; annual paid leave is up to 10 days in the first year depending on the joining month and 11 to 20 days thereafter, with 125 annual holidays.
