Tech Lead Engineer

The Tech Lead Engineer provides technical leadership for the web application development team. The role covers the full product development cycle, from product decisions and specification definition through launch, while working closely with designers and QA engineers.

Responsibilities include leading the development team technically, conducting code reviews, managing quality, selecting technologies, and making architecture decisions. The engineer also participates in feature planning and requirements definition, designs, develops, and tests web applications and APIs, and measures and improves application performance. The role includes resolving technical issues, introducing new technologies, and improving the development environment and technical foundation so that the team can work productively.

The position was created as Tebiki's customer base has expanded and its existing flexible system structure and development methods need to become more stable and efficient. Key technical initiatives include gradually converting a monolithic system to microservices, reducing technical debt, increasing development speed, and building a more productive engineering environment. The Tech Lead is expected to guide these decisions from a technical perspective and help drive the business through technology.

Tebiki provides video DX SaaS for deskless workers in manufacturing, logistics, construction, factories, warehouses, restaurants, and hotels. The company also operates Tebiki Genba Bunseki, a manufacturing-focused SaaS product for digitizing field forms and enabling automated analysis for anomaly detection and operational improvement, with plans to advance the use of AI.

The engineering organization uses Scrum development with short improvement cycles. The environment emphasizes customer value and business value, allows the engineer to participate in important product technology strategy and architecture decisions, and provides resources for reducing technical debt and making technical improvements. Development machines can be selected freely, and remote work is available up to four days per week.

The stated access routes are Shinjuku Station, Seibu-Shinjuku Station, Okubo Station, and Shinjuku-Nishiguchi Station. The work location may change to a place designated by the company, and a smoking-permitted area is available on the premises.
