This full-time role leads development of Akerun Digital ID, a multi-tenant SaaS platform. The engineer works mainly on the backend while also handling frontend development, and works directly with the responsible executive. The product supports digital identity and access management for organizations such as universities, municipalities, and companies, with mobile identity cards and related services used by multiple types of stakeholders.

The development organization has about 170 people and works with in-house hardware and software development, sales, marketing, customer success, and logistics functions. The engineer collaborates with web, firmware, mobile, QA, and SRE engineers. The position uses a discretionary work system, with standard hours of 9:30–18:30 and a one-hour break; average monthly overtime is stated as approximately 15–20 hours.
