Playco Global develops web-based instant games that friends and families can play together without installing a separate app. Games on its site include Buruburu Do Butsu, Heads Up! and Everwing, distributed through social and messaging platforms. Its terms of service provide for the sale of licenses to virtual currency and in-game items.
Playco was founded in September 2020 and, in 2021, announced a $100 million Series A round and the acquisition of Goodboy Digital, creator of the open-source PixiJS engine for 2D HTML5 content. Its 2021 release listed offices in Silicon Valley, Tokyo and Seoul.
