Turing, founded in August 2021 and based in Ota, Tokyo, is a startup developing systems for fully autonomous driving. Its end-to-end approach uses camera data to combine perception, decision-making and vehicle control, while its physical foundation models are designed to understand pedestrians, signs, signals and driving context.
In June 2026 it began joint research with Subaru on an in-vehicle end-to-end driving system and with Denso on physical foundation models. Its Series A round totalled ¥27.89 billion in equity and debt, including a ¥12.62 billion extension announced in July 2026; the company reports cumulative funding of ¥36.6 billion and 103 staff including interns.
