Global Digital Camera Quality Assurance Improvement Leader

This role leads quality assurance and improvement activities for global digital camera products. Responsibilities include communicating with overseas sales subsidiaries about market quality, monitoring repair conditions in after-sales service, investigating products involved in market complaints, verifying defects at factories, and feeding findings back to production and related teams. In addition to short-term responses to defects, the role analyzes market information proactively and drives upstream improvements to address root causes.

The position works across the quality assurance organization of the Imaging Business Division. The team is responsible for quality management systems, product environment matters, product quality assurance, and the provision and management of product quality information. The assigned group handles manufacturing quality assurance for digital cameras and the investigation and feedback of market quality information, covering both products already shipped and quality assurance during mass production and logistics.

Applicants must have approximately three years of cumulative quality assurance experience in manufacturing, experience analyzing and improving market quality information for consumer electrical products, and experience leading problem-solving activities while coordinating relevant stakeholders. Experience in camera quality assurance at another industry company is welcome. Experience communicating in English with overseas subsidiaries or customers is also welcome.

The work involves cameras and imaging products, including developing basic camera and imaging knowledge and fundamental photography skills. Team members may handle company and competing cameras to understand current imaging product functions. The role collaborates with overseas sales subsidiaries, design and development departments, and production factories. A management career path and a specialist career path are available.

The position is full-time and located at Nikon’s headquarters East Site in Shinagawa, Tokyo. A super flextime system and remote work system are available. Standard working time is eight hours, with a 45-minute break; typical hours are 9:00–17:45. Average overtime is stated as 10–20 hours per month. The probationary period is three months. Annual holidays total 128 days, with a five-day workweek, and benefits include commuting expenses, social insurance, a housing allowance subject to conditions, employee stock ownership, defined contribution pension, retirement allowance, and childcare and nursing-care programs. The stated annual salary range is 6.0–9.3 million yen.
