AI Creative Backend Engineer

This backend engineering role sits within CyberAgent's AI Business Division, on the team building "Kyoku-Yosoku TD" — an AI tool that predicts and automatically generates the effectiveness of search-ad text. Working alongside ML engineers, the role covers building and maintaining data pipelines and developing/operating ML model serving. Depending on interest, there is also room to apply LLMs and other machine learning techniques to the underlying research, with support from ML engineers, exploring stronger creative-effectiveness prediction, higher-quality automated ad copy generation, and strategic use of large, varied datasets. Required: 5+ years of programming experience (e.g. Python); development and operations experience on public clouds such as AWS and GCP; experience building and maintaining data pipelines; knowledge or hands-on use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT; practical experience developing ML-powered services; and experience working within a team of 3 or more, taking initiative to identify and propose solutions rather than working passively. Preferred: advertising domain knowledge; foundational machine learning and NLP knowledge and development experience; MLOps or data engineering knowledge; Google Cloud Professional certifications (PCA, PCD, PDE, PMLE, etc.); and experience leading a project team. Full-time position based in Shibuya, Tokyo, with working hours of 10:00-19:00 (a discretionary labor system applies to some roles).
