Product Engineer

EventHub is an event-marketing platform used for webinars, conferences, exhibitions, academic conferences and business meetings. The product provides event hosting, data analysis and communication functions intended to support lead generation and sales activities.

The Product Engineer works across the full development cycle, from system design and implementation through QA testing, production release and operations. Most product engineers are involved in both server-side and frontend development. Responsibilities include selecting and investigating technologies, reviewing team members’ code, planning, developing and operating existing services and new products, and improving development and operational processes.

The role also includes building the development team, supporting the recruitment, training, education and evaluation framework for engineers, and assisting with project management for service development. A separate project manager handles project management. The engineer collaborates with designers, sales staff and customer success members to determine and implement better functions and solutions. The development team has 13 members, including contractors.

The server-side environment uses Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript. The frontend uses React.js, TypeScript and styled-components. The databases are MySQL and Redis, and the infrastructure runs on AWS. Other named tools include Git, GitHub, Slack, Docker, CircleCI, Sentry and JIRA.

Required qualifications include backend development experience for web systems using technologies such as TypeScript, Ruby, Java or PHP. TypeScript is used at the company, but candidates may learn it after joining if they are willing to catch up. An understanding of frontend development with TypeScript and JavaScript is required; HTML or CSS alone is not sufficient. Preferred experience includes frontend development with React and TypeScript, backend development with Node.js and TypeScript, work at a startup or growth company, and infrastructure construction using AWS or Linux servers.

Standard working time is 160 hours per month with a flextime system and core hours from 12:00 to 16:00.
