Product Engineer

Tailor (YC S22; democratizing ERP with AI via the AI-native Headless ERP 'Tailor Platform', plus a Professional Services business) seeks a Product Engineer with procurement/inventory-management domain expertise. As a member of Professional Services (a forward-deployed engineer), you identify customer challenges from pre-sales and implement solutions, co-creating product development with customers, and contribute your learnings back to Tailor Platform's evolution. This is a technical-strength designation, not a title, so you tackle diverse problems per project/organization state. Work (example): own success end-to-end without seams — from pre-sales problem identification through business design, solution design, implementation and delivery; deeply engage enterprise operations with customers and rapidly catch up on domains; contribute as a strong team player; and abstract solutions into reusable form to advance Tailor Platform. Stack: Auth0/IDP, Tailor Platform; Datadog; Docker, docker-compose, Terraform; TypeScript, React.js; Next.js, Playwright, vitest; GitHub Copilot. Required: 2+ years of development in the procurement/inventory-management domain; technical decision-making in that domain; accountability for end-to-end product delivery (guideline 5+ years); native-level Japanese technical communication; ability to work primarily on-site. Preferred: procurement/inventory SaaS or ERP implementation/replacement; full-stack development of core-system flows; GraphQL; no-code/low-code; AI-product development leadership; business-level English.
