Product Manager

This full-time Product Manager role covers the end-to-end development of user-facing B2C products in GO’s mobility business. The work includes product planning, design, release, post-release measurement, and subsequent improvement. The manager identifies user pain points, defines priorities and scope for initiatives and features, balances user problem-solving with business goals, builds consensus among stakeholders, leads communication during development, creates a product vision and roadmap, and owns why and what to build.

The product context includes the GO taxi application, which has more than 40 million downloads, as well as other mobility-related services. The posting also identifies GO BUSINESS, a corporate management service for taxi use; DRIVE CHART, an AI dashcam service supporting accident reduction; GX, a decarbonization service; GO Job, a driver recruitment site; and other new products. GO develops products addressing mobility and related social issues, including accident reduction, decarbonization, labor shortages, and regional contribution.

The product management organization has more than 20 members working across B2C, B2B, payments, and accounting-related products. Team members have varied backgrounds and strengths, with proposals and ideas welcomed regardless of job history or position. Collaboration may involve specialists in technology, data, design, AI, business, and marketing.

Required experience includes approximately three or more years participating in the development of software products such as web systems or native applications, or hardware products. Relevant backgrounds may include product management, engineering, design, research, data analysis, business development, or marketing. Candidates must be able to identify issues, form hypotheses, and translate them into product strategy, features, and initiatives. The role also requires communication ability and leadership to advance product development, balanced judgment when considering stakeholder views, and ownership in finding effective ways forward during difficult situations.

Preferred experience includes software or native-application product development and product management. Additional valued capabilities include using quantitative and qualitative data to understand issues and formulate product strategy; knowledge of and interest in current technologies such as AI; experience with products related to payments, accounting, or ad networks; and experience planning or specifying products that materially improved operations through business process re-engineering projects.

The stated annual salary range is ¥6,000,000 to ¥12,000,000, determined according to skills and experience. It includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month, except that this allowance is not paid when the hire is classified as a manager or supervisor. Salary is reviewed twice a year, with a performance-linked lump-sum payment once a year and transportation reimbursement up to ¥50,000 per month.

The work location is in Azabudai, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Working hours use a super-flextime system with no core hours; designated workdays generally remain working days. The work-location scope includes designated company offices and places where telework is performed. Holidays and leave include weekends and national holidays, paid leave, year-end and New Year holidays, bereavement leave, family-care leave, and childcare nursing leave. Benefits include social insurance, a taxi subsidy of up to ¥10,000 per month, a ¥10,000 monthly new-normal allowance, child allowances, welcome lunches, club activities, and permission to wear casual clothing. Indoor smoking is prohibited, with a smoking room available in the building.
