Synspective's Data Production Department covers the lifecycle of its SAR data from downlink to delivery, and its SAR Processing unit develops the image-processing pipeline: deserialisation, processing-parameter estimation, focusing and packaging into the supported data formats. This role turns algorithms into a reliable, scalable production pipeline. It is a hands-on, production-focused engineering role rather than research.
The engineer owns and evolves the pipeline architecture, integrates and productionises SAR processing algorithms across acquisition modes and product types, investigates image and processing problems at signal level (Doppler, geometry, focusing), helps develop new SAR data products, builds tools to analyse and verify products, and gives feedback on the radar systems of future satellites.
Applicants need a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, remote sensing, physics or a related field; typically three or more years in signal or image processing, radar or similar software-heavy work; solid SAR fundamentals; maintainable code in Python, C++ or Rust; and good English. Spaceborne SAR experience and Japanese are a plus.
