About this role
This is a solution engineer role on ANDPAD's newly formed SI Development Department, created to lead the technical side of enterprise adoption of the ANDPAD SaaS platform for large construction and homebuilding clients. Working alongside pre-sales/consulting staff, the engineer leads requirements definition and design through implementation for integrations between client systems and ANDPAD, including API and batch data-integration flows, and contributes to product-side improvements such as security and account-structure architecture. Other responsibilities include designing and building integration middleware/adapters, generalizing client-specific solutions into reusable platform features, and — as a founding member of the new team — participating in hiring, defining development processes, and team building as the department grows toward roughly ten members. Tech stack: Ruby and Go, Ruby on Rails, AWS (ECS, Aurora, S3), CircleCI/Codebuild, GitHub. Required: experience in system development/implementation at an SIer or contract development firm (any language), experience with upstream work such as client negotiation, requirements definition, and detailed design, and willingness to learn Ruby on Rails and Go (current main skills may be Java, C#, PHP, etc.). Preferred: experience integrating with external systems, project management for teams of 10+, managing development partners, Web API design, and SaaS product development. Employment is full-time with flextime (core hours 11:00-15:00); full remote work is negotiable. Salary is negotiable based on experience and includes a fixed 45-hour overtime allowance; bonuses are paid twice a year.
