SRE

This full-time SRE role works on EventHub, an event-marketing platform used for webinars, conferences, exhibitions, academic meetings, and business meetings. The service supports event operations, data analysis, communication with customers, lead generation, and sales activity for online and offline events.

The role’s mission is to improve product reliability and development-organization productivity. Responsibilities include establishing monitoring and logging foundations, introducing SLI/SLO, speeding up CI/CD, implementing infrastructure as code, and strengthening AWS security. The SRE team is newly formed, so the role helps determine and implement its direction from the early stage. It also collaborates with product engineers to build more reliable systems.

The engineering organization has approximately 13 members, including contractors. Web engineers generally work across the server side and front end and participate in the full cycle from design and development through QA testing, production release, and operations. Collaboration with sales, business planning, and customer success is active. Product managers use Productboard to review customer and business-side requests and, when needed, interview stakeholders before connecting priorities, impact, and development effort to engineering work.

The development environment includes Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript on the server side; React.js, TypeScript, and styled-components on the front end; MySQL and Redis for databases; and AWS for infrastructure. Other named tools are Git, GitHub, Slack, Docker, CircleCI, Sentry, and JIRA.

Required qualifications are experience using public clouds such as AWS or GCP, backend development experience for web services, experience improving infrastructure or DevOps foundations, and experience using Docker. The programming language is not restricted. Experience as an SRE, building monitoring or logging platforms, building CI/CD foundations, introducing or operating SLI/SLO, implementing infrastructure as code, and backend development with Node.js and TypeScript are listed as preferred.

Employment is regular full-time with no fixed employment term and a three-month probation period, during which conditions do not change. Salary is discussed and decided under company rules based on experience, ability, and skills. Standard working time is 160 hours per month, with a flex-time system and core hours from 12:00 to 16:00. The posting also states 40 hours per month of deemed working time.

Work is primarily remote, with one company-wide office day per month required for regular employees to promote communication. The workplace is in Nishi-Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Holidays include two full days off per week, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and three paid summer-leave days.
