Money Forward is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer for the Platform and SRE team of its new digital bank, built with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. The engineer builds and runs the highly available, highly reliable system infrastructure a bank needs, in a team where all of the platform, the SRE culture, the development process and the on-call setup are created from scratch.
Duties include building and operating a highly available multi-region system on AWS, defining SLIs and SLOs, setting up monitoring and alerts and handling incidents with Datadog, running security and compliance for infrastructure including AWS Organizations, building CI/CD and development and test platforms, reviewing availability and reliability from the design stage, optimizing performance, and responding to incidents with a post-mortem culture. Financial-industry regulation is part of the work. The stack includes Kotlin, ECS, Aurora Global Database, Terraform and Datadog.
Applicants need three or more years in SRE, DevOps or infrastructure, AWS production experience, Kubernetes or ECS, monitoring and observability, infrastructure as code, Git-based code review and PostgreSQL operation. Business-level Japanese and English are required.
