Coinbase operates a crypto platform for individual traders, institutional investors, businesses and developers. Its products include spot and derivatives trading, digital-asset custody, Coinbase Prime brokerage, wallets, staking, stablecoin payments and APIs for embedding crypto services. In 2025 it widened its trading products to stocks, commodity futures, perpetual futures and prediction markets, and acquired Deribit in August 2025.
Coinbase earns transaction fees from trading and generates subscription and services revenue from USDC, blockchain rewards, custody, interest and financing, Coinbase One and other services. It reported $7.18 billion in total revenue for 2025, including $6.88 billion in net revenue.
