Coinbase operates a crypto platform for individual traders, institutional investors, businesses and developers. Its products include spot and derivatives trading, digital-asset custody, Coinbase Prime brokerage, wallets, staking, stablecoin payments and APIs for embedding crypto services.
It earns transaction fees from trading and generates subscription and services revenue from USDC, blockchain rewards, custody, interest and financing, Coinbase One and other services. Coinbase reported $7.18 billion in total revenue for 2025, including $6.88 billion in net revenue.
Coinbase expanded its derivatives business by acquiring Deribit in August 2025 and also launched perpetual-style futures in the United States.
