Riken Vitamin began as a spinoff of RIKEN's vitamin A business. Its food business makes non-oil dressings, wakame and other seaweed products, soups and seasonings for households, school meals and restaurants, and supplies food manufacturers with meat and seafood extracts and customized seasoning blends.
Its improving-agent business supplies food emulsifiers, processed oils, natural colorants and vitamin E, and applies the same technology to chemical improving agents for plastics, agricultural films, food packaging, rubber and cosmetics. The healthcare business sells vitamins and functional-food ingredients such as crocetin and mekabu fucoidan, and offers contract microencapsulation. It had 1,887 consolidated employees as of March 31, 2026.
