The Comic Editor will handle editing and operational work for comic magazines, web magazines, and manga applications published by Square Enix. Responsibilities include planning and producing works, discovering artists, developing projects with assigned creators, and discussing plots, storyboards, and character settings. The editor will also manage the publication of assigned works as collected comic volumes.
Depending on experience and suitability, the editor will join one of the following teams: Shonen Gangan, Big Gangan, Young Gangan, Gangan Joker, Gangan ONLINE, G Fantasy, Gangan pixiv, or Manga UP!
Applicants should have at least two years of comic-editing experience. Applicants without comic-editing experience may also apply if they have experience editing light novels; at least one year of experience with magazine gravure pages; experience in comic or light-novel sales, bookstore work, sales, or promotion; or at least three years of practical experience in the IT industry, including internships. Preferred experience includes three or more years of comic-editing experience, having released a collected volume of an assigned manga work, or editing web comic magazines.
