About this role
CyberAgent's Game and Entertainment division is hiring a Concept Artist for the Concept Design unit (CPU, Concept Prototyping Unit) in its Core Creative group. The unit specialises in concept art at the earliest stage of game development and works across the division's subsidiaries, so the artist can shape a game's world and characters from the very beginning, including unannounced titles.
The concept artist produces a range of art and design work, assigned according to each person's strengths. This includes concept art that defines a game's world, scene-by-scene world art and prop design, character design with the clothing, weapons, gadgets and accessories that go with it, and the reference sheets and detail images used to build 3D models.
Applicants need basic visual-art ability, including drawing, composition and world-building, and practical 2D painting skill in Photoshop or a similar digital painting application. Game-industry artwork experience, design experience in fields such as CG video, architecture, industrial or fashion design, and progress and outsourcing management ability are preferred. The team wants people with a strong drive to create new kinds of expression.
