Music Publishing Manager

CyberAgent's Music Business division manages music rights across the group's anime, video and ABEMA content, handling publishing and master rights as a new revenue source. As the number of managed songs grows, it hires a Music Publishing Manager to run rights administration accurately and to help build the operation of a team still in start-up phase.

The manager administers publishing and master rights for songs, mainly domestic works, files notifications with copyright societies such as JASRAC, distributes copyright royalties, organises song information and rights databases, and answers enquiries from labels, agencies and group departments. Later the role covers setting up management as a representative publisher and introducing systems and workflows. The team is two or three people with discretion over daily work.

Applicants must have practical experience managing publishing and master rights, mainly domestic songs, at a music publisher or record label, and practical knowledge of notifications to JASRAC-type societies and royalty distribution. Negotiation with societies, publisher system introduction, workflow design, master contract knowledge and entertainment contract experience are preferred.
