Illustrator (Art Director Candidate)

CyberAgent's Pigg division, which runs the Pigg Party avatar community and is building a metaverse community service, hires an Illustrator who is a candidate to become art director. The illustrator draws avatar items and key visuals, designs them and directs the art, and works with producers, planners and engineers on proposals and delivery, including the surrounding artwork needed to run the service.

The role lets the person create characters and worlds for users, work beyond the deformed Pigg style in varied illustration, and combine illustration, art direction, graphics and occasionally UI/UX in a growth-phase service where user reactions arrive quickly. The team works across job types and meets in the office three days a week.

Applicants need practical experience as an illustrator or art director, three or more years of Photoshop and Illustrator, game or communication app or web design experience, basic drawing, form and colour ability, and direction or management experience. Art-school study, animation skills in After Effects and avatar-service experience are preferred. The team looks for game lovers who follow design trends and want to widen what illustration can do.
