Product Designer

The Product Designer will design and direct the overall UI/UX of the company's sales service Nikosuma and purchasing service Nikosuma買取. The role focuses on creating user experiences that reduce uncertainty about used devices and improve the services for users with diverse use cases and personas.

Responsibilities include creating wireframes and prototypes, building a design system, proposing improvements based on user research and data analysis, and optimizing UI/UX designs. The designer will collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to bring designs into the product, contribute ideas for new features, support implementation, improve existing features, coordinate with other departments, conduct user tests and A/B tests, and establish improvement approaches based on the results.

The designer joins product development from the upstream stage of identifying what should be solved, rather than only producing designs according to requirements. The role also works with an operations department of approximately 200 people to help optimize business processes across the company.

The design process includes repeated research and prototyping using company e-commerce data and direct customer feedback. The organization is working to reduce dependence on individual knowledge and build and establish a design system so that the design function can contribute to business decisions.
