Monstarlab is hiring an AI Agent Engineer as the technical lead for building next-generation AI agents and AI-native development projects for clients. Monstarlab is an AI and digital partner, and this role is in its Practice and Innovation Tech team in Japan.
The engineer designs and implements agent architectures, choosing and building agents with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex and AutoGen and developing their reasoning loops, and designs retrieval-augmented generation systems with vector databases and data pipelines. The work also includes the function-calling layer that connects agents to external systems, backend APIs in Python with FastAPI, cloud environments on GCP, AWS or Azure, and architecture reviews with domestic and overseas teams.
