About this role

This full-time Corporate IT Engineer will plan, build, operate, and improve internal corporate systems used by employees. The role leads the design, construction, and operation of a secure business environment for handling confidential and personal information as the company expands its fintech business. Responsibilities include system comparisons and evaluations, planning, implementation, operational management, usage planning, service stability, network operations, outage monitoring, and responding to reports and consultations from the help desk team. The role also supports infrastructure planning and construction for office openings, expansions, mergers and acquisitions, and other organizational events.

The position works with business departments, security, legal, and external vendors to translate business and security requirements into practical systems. It belongs to the Technology Headquarters, Corporate Technology Department, IT Service Group. The broader corporate IT function supports internal systems used by the company’s employees and operates in a business context that includes online printing, customer-acquisition services, and expanding fintech activities.

Required experience includes project management for multiple system implementation projects; planning, budget management, and impact measurement for annual IT investments of at least JPY 10 million; enterprise-grade IDaaS design and operation such as Entra ID; substantial operation of cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure; and design and construction of secure business environments covering identity and access management, device controls, and networks. Candidates must also have experience designing and operating systems while considering confidential and personal information, audit and internal-control requirements, and both business and security requirements. Required capabilities include quantitative explanation of return on investment, requirements definition, team building and personnel development, cross-department coordination, stakeholder consensus building, vendor management and contract negotiation, crisis management, and escalation judgment.

Preferred experience includes leading zero-trust network architecture projects; managing company-wide ERP implementation or renewal projects involving SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics; enterprise network design using Cisco or Aruba; large-scale zero-touch device deployment with Intune or Jamf Pro; API-based integrations and automation scripts; infrastructure-as-code management with GitHub; global IT infrastructure support; IT integration during mergers or organizational restructuring; medium- and long-term IT strategy; SOX or GDPR-related operations; SASE, CASB, or DLP solutions such as Netskope; conditional access and device compliance; ISMS, SOC2, and internal or external audits; and information-systems experience in regulated sectors such as financial institutions, fintech, payments, insurance, or securities.

The employment contract has no fixed term, and the probationary period is three months with no change in conditions. Annual compensation is JPY 7.41 million to JPY 8.708 million, determined with consideration for experience and previous compensation. The package includes fixed overtime pay for 45 hours and fixed late-night pay for 20 hours; excess hours are paid separately. Bonuses are paid twice a year, in March and September, subject to business performance, evaluation, and actual work rate.

The work location is the Azabudai office in Minato, Tokyo, or a company-approved home or equivalent remote-work location. The working arrangement combines remote work with office attendance several times a week. The position uses a flextime system with a core period of 11:00–15:00, or 10:00–15:00 on the first day of the week, and a standard working day of eight hours. Overtime may occur under company rules and the individual employment contract. Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays are days off. Benefits include a corporate defined-contribution pension, leased housing, childcare and nursing-care leave, return-from-parental-leave benefits, condolence payments, a babysitter discount program, corporate-led childcare facilities, refresh and year-end holidays, and other stated leave programs. Health, pension, employment, and workers’ compensation insurance are provided. The posting also states that duties and work location may change within the company’s designated scope, including remote-work locations.
