Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will support AI and data projects from PoC and MVP launch through production. Responsibilities include clarifying infrastructure requirements, designing and building cloud environments, and making design decisions that enable projects to run quickly. The role also covers cloud architecture for AI and data workloads, reusable environment standardization through infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipeline development, container platform operations, monitoring, logging, alert design, and security design and operations.

The engineer will work with Terraform or similar tools for IaC, GitHub Actions or similar tools for CI/CD, and Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes for container platforms. Security responsibilities include IAM, network isolation, and vulnerability response. Depending on project requirements, the role may also implement APIs, batch processes, authentication, and other backend functions. The position is expected to create baseline environments and templates that can be reused across multiple projects.

Required qualifications include at least three years of experience designing, building, and operating cloud environments using AWS, GCP, or Azure; foundational network and security knowledge including VPC or VNet, IAM, encryption, and log design; Linux operations experience; practical IaC experience such as Terraform or CloudFormation; and container operations experience with Docker. Application-oriented development experience or understanding, such as implementing APIs or batch processes with TypeScript, Python, or Go, is also required. The posting requires the ability to work in Japanese.

Experience launching PoC or MVP infrastructure, designing or operating ECS, EKS, GKE, or Kubernetes, basic MLOps or LLMOps knowledge, and operational understanding of model or inference platforms, Feature Stores, or RAG configurations are listed as preferred. Full-cycle experience in a small team is also welcomed.

The role is a full-time permanent position. The probationary period is six months from the start date, with no change to salary or benefits. Working hours use a super-flex system from 5:00 to 22:00 without core hours, with eight scheduled hours per day; a discretionary work system may apply. The position is based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and remote work is available. Annual compensation is ¥8,000,000–¥12,000,000, with salary determined according to experience, ability, and previous compensation. The package includes a projected fixed overtime component of 30 hours per month, or 20 hours for some positions.
