Multicloud Infrastructure Engineer Manager

This manager role supports the expansion of the USEN GATE 02 IaaS business for corporate customers. The position leads cloud infrastructure design, construction, and operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP while contributing to customer business growth and the expansion of the company’s ICT services.

The manager is responsible for engineering organization management, including member supervision, training, and guidance. The role also involves strengthening the organization, establishing operating structures and business processes, coordinating with the sales organization on project execution, and implementing strategies for business growth.

As a player and reviewer, the role includes customer interviews, technical proposals, requirements definition, cost calculations, and preparation of estimates. Responsibilities also include practical design and construction of cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as reviewing design documents. The manager will promote verification work for new service launches and technical evaluations based on customer requirements.

The position works in the IaaS Product Department, which has 12 members, including four engineers. The department supports corporate customers through network, cloud, security, and DX solutions. The role combines technical leadership with organization building and may involve work related to new technologies such as AI.

Required qualifications include approximately five or more years of experience building environments on at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience training and developing members or leading a team. Experience managing an engineering organization, including evaluation, organizational development, or recruiting; experience building and operating all three major cloud environments; and project management experience as a PM or PL are welcomed.

Employment is full-time and permanent. Working hours use a flextime system without core hours, with standard working time of 7 hours 30 minutes per day and a 60-minute break. The approximate standard schedule is 10:00–18:30. Full remote work is possible, with office attendance required when necessary; average office attendance is approximately once or twice per week. The workplace is in Shinagawa, Tokyo. Training of approximately half a month is planned, with full management duties expected from the second month.
