About this role

The Solutions Engineer works closely with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams across the sales process. The role identifies customer issues through product demonstrations, technical discussions, and proofs of concept, then proposes SaaS solutions suited to each prospect or existing customer.

Responsibilities include understanding customer business objectives, organizing technical requirements, and designing solutions around the company’s SaaS platform. The role leads product demos and technical presentations, acts as the primary technical contact during presales, answers detailed technical questions, and addresses customer concerns. It also supports troubleshooting during presales and implementation, coordinates the transition from sales to customer success and implementation teams, and helps customers obtain value from the solution after adoption.

The role provides product and technical knowledge to internal sales and customer success teams for training and enablement. Customer feedback is shared with product and engineering teams so that it can inform future development and product roadmap planning.

The position is part of the Emerging Products Engineering team. Daily collaboration includes sales, product managers, engineers, customer success, and implementation staff. The role may also work with global engineering teams in India, the Philippines, and Taiwan. The organization has overseas offices and members from 20 countries.

The products include Mico Engage AI, a communication platform supporting customer acquisition, personalized messaging, one-to-one customer communication, and system integrations; Mico Voice AI, an automated calling service using humanlike AI voice; BizClo, an enterprise LINE one-to-one chat solution; and Micomii, a LINE membership service for store operators. The role supports customer AI transformation and may involve multiple industries and use cases.

The role is expected to form hypotheses in uncertain situations, build agreement with customers, translate technical points into business value, and maintain ownership from requirements definition through implementation while managing quality, cost, and delivery. It also requires adapting to change, learning quickly, involving multiple stakeholders, and managing expectations appropriately.

The work location can be selected between Tokyo and Osaka. The working arrangement is hybrid, combining remote work and office attendance, with office attendance recommended once a week.
