Mid-level Content Editor

This is a full-time editor position based in Tokyo. The editor will plan content and propose article structures, conduct interviews, write and proofread material, manage production schedules, assign external staff, and handle other editorial duties.

The required background is practical editing experience at a publisher, editorial production company, or web media organization. Candidates should have a strong interest in healthcare, wellness, or food, along with the communication skills needed to move work forward smoothly. Experience editing medical or healthcare content for a publisher, editorial production company, or web media organization is preferred. Applicants without prior web-editing experience may also be considered if they are willing to take on new challenges.

The main publishing channel is the web, although team members with print-media backgrounds are also active. Content covers food, nutrition, disease prevention, treatment, and health-related topics. Examples include information about dietary approaches for diabetes and dyslipidemia and practical guidance on measuring ingredients. The role supports the reading-content service “Yomu, Eiyo” and related food and health information.

The company develops the “Oishii Kenko” dietary management app for patients and everyday users, as well as the “Kakaris” dietary guidance solution for medical institutions. Its content work is supported by collaboration with medical universities, clinical research, and internal expertise from approximately ten registered dietitians. Editors work with registered dietitians, engineers, and designers to develop and deliver information based on medical evidence.

The workplace uses remote work and core-time flextime. Online interviews are available. New employees receive onboarding that includes monthly one-on-one lunches with a mentor during their first six months and regular meetings with the CEO.
