Game Producer

The Game Producer works with other game producers, team leads, and relevant leads to oversee game development from technology through art direction. The role coordinates teams across time zones and professions, gathers requirements from the production team, and helps resolve scheduling and production blockers.

Responsibilities include ensuring that teams meet deadlines, providing the information and answers needed to complete their work, and monitoring progress across all lowiro projects. The producer is expected to help teams work cohesively and to resolve issues by developing practical plans.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of both the technological and artistic aspects of game development, along with strong time-management and task-tracking skills. The role requires good knowledge of game-development tools, including IDEs, build scripting, and asset-creation software such as Photoshop. Strong communication skills are required, including the ability to resolve disputes and develop plans for addressing issues. Candidates should also understand project-management methodologies and tools and be able to ensure that deadlines are met and assets are delivered.

The posting asks for a keen interest in games and media in Japan and a strong understanding of the game, media, and anime industries. Conversational or higher Japanese ability, including written Japanese, is required. Experience with project-management tools such as Notion is also required.

Favorable experience includes helping develop and ship a completed professional or indie title, scripting and automating tools to improve development processes, and experience in a specific area of game development such as programming, art, design, or localization.

The position is full-time in Tokyo with a hybrid work policy that includes two remote-work days.
