Mid-career Editor

This full-time mid-career editor role focuses on planning and producing reliable food, health, and medical information for the company’s web media. The main responsibilities include proposing content plans and structures, conducting interviews, writing, proofreading, managing schedules, assigning external staff, and handling other editing work.

The required background is practical editing experience at a publisher, editorial production company, web media organization, or a similar setting. Candidates should have a strong interest in healthcare, wellness, or food, together with the communication skills needed to move work forward smoothly. Practical editing experience related to medical or healthcare content is welcomed. The posting also welcomes people without previous web-editing experience if they are willing to take on new challenges.

Web publishing is the primary focus, although members with print-media backgrounds also work at the company. Content is developed for the food-management app Oishii Kenko and the related reading content service Yomu, Eiyou. Topics include dietary information for conditions such as diabetes and dyslipidemia, as well as practical guidance for preparing healthy meals. The company emphasizes accurate information based on evidence and works with medical universities on research. Around 10 registered dietitians are employed internally to support the accuracy of food and nutrition content.

The editor works with engineers, designers, and registered dietitians to plan and deliver content. The wider organization develops food-management and dietary guidance services for patients, consumers, and medical institutions, including Oishii Kenko and Kakaris, and uses accumulated food and health data in research and service development. The company also describes work combining existing products with generative AI.

The work location is Tokyo. Remote work and core-time flextime are used. Online interviews are available. New employees receive onboarding support during their first six months, including monthly one-on-one lunches with a mentor and regular meetings with the CEO.
