Mid-Career Editor

This full-time, mid-career editor role is based in Tokyo and focuses on developing reliable content about food, health, wellness, and medical topics. The work is primarily for the web, with opportunities to draw on experience from print media as well.

Responsibilities include proposing content plans and structures, conducting interviews, writing, proofreading, managing production schedules, and assigning external staff. The editor will handle a broad range of editorial work and coordinate projects with internal engineers, designers, and registered dietitians.

Required qualifications are practical editing experience at a publishing company, editorial production company, or web media organization; a strong interest in healthcare, wellness, or food; and the communication skills needed to move work forward smoothly. Practical editing experience related to medical or healthcare content is welcomed. Applicants without previous web-editing experience may also be considered if they are willing to take on new challenges.

The role supports content for Oishi Kenko’s food-management and nutrition services, including the Oishi Kenko app and the Kakaris dietary guidance solution for medical institutions. The company also develops health-insurance solutions, conducts joint clinical research with medical universities, and works with medical specialists.
