About this role

This position develops and executes strategies to increase the value, reach, consumption, and revenue of music produced by the SEGA group. The work uses the group’s game-related IP and includes collaboration with artists as well as music-led development of IP and product value.

Main responsibilities include setting and advancing production policies for songs and IP, and carrying out tactics informed by global trends and user behavior. The role plans and promotes streaming and physical releases, develops social promotion and influencer initiatives on TikTok, YouTube, and X, and builds and operates playlist strategies for each platform.

The position also handles licensing and tie-up sales. This includes proposing song licensing to external commercials, programs, and events; securing insert-song and theme-song tie-ups for internal games, anime, and films; negotiating rights; and promoting acquired tie-up songs to increase their exposure and consumption.

Stakeholder work includes attending music-related events and building relationships with global artists, creators, and partner companies. The role coordinates with IP producers, rights-related teams, and administrative departments.

Applicants must have at least two years of experience in one of the following areas: expanding distribution and streaming growth through relationships with DSP partners; planning, proposing, negotiating rights for, and managing the progress of music tie-up projects for games, anime, films, commercials, or events; or planning and executing digital marketing and song-promotion initiatives using social platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and X. The role also requires communication and coordination skills to advance projects with artists, creators, rights holders, agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred experience includes music production for games or anime, live-event planning and production, familiarity with social media and influencers, and practical experience related to planning or producing music, video works, or programs.

The position is based at the SEGA group office in Shinagawa, Tokyo. The stated employment type is full-time, although a contract-employee offer may be made depending on skills and experience. Annual compensation is JPY 7,000,000 to JPY 13,000,000.
